Our Students and Alumni Speak for Themselves

“I chose Xavier for a few reasons — first, because of the family atmosphere and tight-knit community. Second, the accreditation and clinical rotations in New York were very important to me. Finally, the weather in Aruba is always fantastic and it's easy to immerse yourself in the culture.”
Andrew SpalanziniNew York, USA
“One of the reasons I chose Xavier was because of the many options I had for clinical rotations in the U.S. My medical degree from Xavier has opened so many doors and prepared me for a successful career practicing in the field I love.”
Dr. Adrienne HicksAlumna
“The school gave me the opportunity to be exposed to different areas of medicine. Xavier prepared me to go into residency as a strong first-year student. Xavier cares about its students, not just academically but personally as well.”

Accreditation

A Fully Accredited Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program

Xavier University School of Medicine (XUSOM) in Aruba is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine (ACCM). ACCM granted Xavier its initial accreditation in 2015, and Xavier's accreditation runs through 2029. This accreditation is required for students to take USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 and to obtain residency, and it makes Xavier compliant with the ECFMG accreditation requirement for international medical graduates.
